Lionheart Extra Love Merch
An AIMS collab between LionHeart Coffee, Beaverton Highschool and the Cada Casa Apparel Design Program. Beaverton High Graphic Productions students have developed client briefs, timelines, mood boards, concepts, iterations, refinements, mockups, and storyboards in the development of the piece and content. Similar to the local craftsmanship of every drink made at Lionheart, each step of the process was done with great care and intention. From graphic design, to shooting and editing, to hand printing each garment, the entire design process was done in house, allowing students to see a variety of careers and creative avenues.
Ofrenda Fashion Show
Cada Casa had the opportunity to support Versastyle’s Día de los Muertos Fashion Show by providing live screen printing, DJing and lighting/sound consulting. The show featured Beyond the Decks graduates and instructors working side by side to provide an engaging soundscape for the evening.
Nuestra Cultura Event
Cada Casa AIMS students partnered with JUNTOSpdx to film, photography and screen print at their Nuestra Cultura event. Our of the core missions of JUNTOSpdx is to inspire the present to help strengthen the future of our community. The goal of this program is to provide guidance and real-world opportunities in their goals of becoming professional creatives. What you're viewing now are examples of the unique moments the students captured throughout Nuestra Cultura, showcasing their creativity and hard work in action. AIMS (Apprenticeships, Internships, Mentorships, Support) is a project-based mentorship program that pairs emerging creatives with affinity-grouped mentors in a curated, real-world project.
Dos Diegos Mural
There are no two names more important in the MLS-era Portland Timbers FC than Diego Valeri and Diego Chara. These two represent the heart of the team since joining the league, the star above our crest, the passion on the pitch, and character off the field. They deserve their spot in club history, and their faces on the streets of Portland for all to remember. The two Diegos represent more than just the team, but also the Latine and Black communities of North Portland. Design by Portland’s own Richard Miller, talented designer of many dope Timbers designs and eccentric overlord of Calyx Works. Due to damages to the original building, we are currently looking for a new home for this mural.
Future Fest
Friends of Noise invited Cada Casa to host workshops at Find Your Future Fest, an event aimed at professional development, job opportunities, and workshops for young adults in the Portland-metro area. Cada Casa was able to provide live screen printing, a mini Beyond the Decks DJ lesson, a CANS stencil graffiti demonstration, and information about our AIMS program.
NORF ‘24
Cada Casa partnered with NORF to provide an elegant and elevated platform for performers, musicians, models, designers, DJ’s, videographers, photographers, graphic designers and producers to not just see what the next level looks like, but also to invite them into the process in a structured mentorship program. NORF (Northwest Originated Rhythm & Fashion) is an annual event highlighting emerging designers and performers. Cada Casa facilitated the AIMS Content Crew experience, Apparel Design workshops, Beyond the Decks DJ alumni and mentors, screen printing, and event build out.
Industry Field trip
Beaverton High Digital Media students had the opportunity to visit Industry in preparation for the NORF Fashion show. Armando Garcia, Senior Art Director, led the students through the process of understanding tone/mood, outlining the different types of contents to be captured, and the technical specs on how to do so. The field trip ended with an in-prompt photoshoot where students were able to get behind and in front of the camera for some portrait practice.
