  • A hands-on introduction to video-making with a goal to provide participants the basics of the creation of a promo video. Participants first explore how different hardware (DSLR, drones, iPhones + lenses, and stabilizers) can be used to capture a variety of shots and how each portrays a specific feeling. Students then work to create a b-roll of the Portland or Beaverton community in which they live and find compelling. Post-production instruction includes basic principles that can be applied to a variety of video-editing software. Finally, small teams of participants are paired with a community-based organization or small business to create a promo video. Those who complete this course will have full access to the equipment in the future and are eligible to join the Production Crew can make money creating promo videos for the community. More Info >

  • The Cada Casa design and production studio allows students to get real-world experience in various design elements while fundraising for their own classes and projects. As this is not a set class and is based upon the desired projects in the community, students can contact us at any point if they are interested in participating. When a community member reaches out to us, we will pair them with a supervisor/student team. Based on the experience of the student and the complexity of the project, the supervisor will oversee the different elements of the project including the development of a proposal, timeline, budget, quality control, delivery, and communication with the client. Design + Production Studio

The Cada Casa design and production studio allows students to get real-world experience in various design elements while fundraising for their own classes and projects. As this is not a set class and is based upon the desired projects in the community, students can contact us at any point if they are interested in participating. Based on the experience of the student and the complexity of the project, the supervisor will oversee the different elements of the project including the development of a proposal, timeline, budget, quality control, delivery, and communication with the client. All proceeds of the project directly fund materials and supplies for the students to do their own projects.

Oregon Recording School

Cada Casa has partnered with the Oregon Recording Studio (ORS) to provide an outreach program for students interested in exploring audio production arts. This 10-week sound tech program includes 120 hours of instruction, mentorship, and on-site experience for both recording and live concert mixing.

Digital Music Production

After being exposed to a variety of approaches, students will have the freedom to focus on any specific musical direction and further develop their skills on their own.

Spoken Poetry is Transformational
