Bigger Than Hip Hop

The Bigger Than Hip Hop program is a series of workshops introducing students to the various disciplines of Hip-Hop (music, dance, fashion, art).  Six local artists host beginning workshops in a variety of art disciplines, including street fashion, lyric development and live rapping, beat production, DJing, murals / street-art, and hip-hop dance ensemble. This set of workshops help spark student interest in the hopes of creating clubs or fostering mentorships. These programs have been hosted at Beaverton High School (2023) and McDaniel High School, and have led to the creation of CANS (Street Art Club) and Beyond the Decks (DJ program).
