Online Oregon Permit Knowledge Test Preparation Course

So your kid is about to get their Oregon Driver’s Permit? Wild, huh? Perhaps even more surprising than a government agency entrusting someone who can’t pick up their wet towel off the floor with the ability to drive is how little preparation materials there are out there. Yes, the DMV does provide a practice test and you can download the Oregon Driver Manual, but what about an online class or something? What about the whole Comprehensive Distance Learning movement of the pandemic and being able to access courses online? Well, I couldn’t find many useful classes/resources, so I did what any father/teacher would do: create one.

Information about the course:

  • Only prepares people for the Knowledge Test portion to get your permit

    • When it is time to get your license you don’t need to retake this part, just do the driving and vision test

    • This does not count as one of those Driver’s Ed courses that you can take to lower your insurance or the amount of required driving time while you have your permit

  • Self-paced, asynchronous learning (no live classes) based on Canvas (the platform most Oregon schools use)

  • Breaks the manual down into sections, and provides auto-graded quizzes that check for understanding

  • Allows for parents/guardians to check on course progress

  • Two different prices:

    • Basic ($25): get access to all of the materials and multiple-choice quizzes

    • Guided ($50): a teacher creates a customized learning plan with due dates based on your goal test date and provides feedback along the way

  • Money-back guarantee! If you don’t pass the test, send us an email with a few of the questions you missed and we will refund your class fee
